Curiosity-inspired illustrations and design
This drawing was inspired by the multiple online worlds that I have encountered. It is both nostalgic and new, both breathtaking and inspiring. I thought that the choice of colors was particularly soothing and fitting both the feelings of nostalgia and novelty. I hope you feel what I feel.
So, how do you feel about outdoors? Like it? Hate it? Well, here is the perfect solution for you. Like it? Show it! Don’t like it but want to impress people? Show it with this abstract-y, modern, fancy take on landscapes :-). It will definitely be a stuff of interesting conversations. And, I thought this Catan inspired design would be an even more interesting rendition of such an uncommon landscape. What do you think?
You know how important it is to always be prepared, right? Well, here is your super necessary, amazingly well thought-out and executed set that will never let you down. Ever. It has everything you might require in every kind of situation. And, it is simply beautiful, don’t you think? :-p Very contemporary, very in the spirit of some of the modern aesthetics (yup, you are correct – hipster). Whether you take it ironically, want to tease your buddies or really embrace the subculture – this design will not leave you without a smile.
Feather – simple and light, airy and beautiful. Simple geometry, simple doodle. And what is more simple than monochromatic geometric shapes? Take a look at the hypnotizing parallels, lines, circles and shapes. What do you see? What catches your eye? What stands out? Are the figures well aligned? Does the eye of the perfectionist spot and irregularity? Let me know what you think! Does the shape capture you? Is the color palette all you wanted?
Look at those fall colors! And the shapes! And the resulting pattern! So, feeling folk-y yet? I got inspired by some pagan Slavic ornaments and symbols and this is the result. It is simple and light, yet kind of fulfilling and sophisticated, don’t you think? What do YOU think? Do you feel the connection with YOUR roots? Let me know!
You know how they say a picture is worth a thousand words? This is how I feel about this one: one simple flower, with flowy, curvy lines, a red beating heart – a very welcome memory of the oh-so-fleeting summer. It exudes freshness, the sweet, intoxicating aroma of the evening breeze, of the setting sun and the tropical landscape lulling you to sleep. This is my memory of summer, this is the taste I want to be lingering on my lips. That is why this flower. Let me know what you think of it. What is it you remember when you think about your summer? What taste does it leave on your lips? Share with me your thoughts, I am curious.
Did you know that science and DNA and all the magical (well, more like scientific) wonders (again, more like years of painstaking research and experiments and failure and more research and more experiment, well, you get the drift) are on everyone’s lips nowadays? It is fascinating indeed. It does sound magical. For a lot of us, most of the scientific discoveries could not arrive any faster. So this is our tribute. A bit hipster-ish, yes maybe, but also so awesome! Did you see the colorful DNA strand? Neat, right? And the pipe with the molecules? And all those awesome discovery ideas just brewing in that scientific bowler hat? How do you like it? Any thoughts? Want to share your scientific discoveries? I am very curious. Drop me a line!
This movie by DreamWorks is full of hilariousness and tenderness at the same time. I loved it! It is very touching and inspiring. I do advise you to watch it, so no more spoilers :-). And, since I cannot stop admiring the English of Oh, I made another design :-). I made two different color versions of it, have a look at both of them. I hope you like it as much as me.
A splash, an abstract interplay of colors, a folly? The abstract has a certain something that amuses, wonders and relieves a wandering eye. It enables seeing the way in a new light, to find the answers you were looking for maybe. It juxtaposes the normal with the irregular. But then again, what does the artist now? The answer lies in the eye of the beholder, does it not?
Tina Belcher is amazing! Her every awkward move is gold. And her every quote is a treasure trove. She cheers me up every time, making life more bearable bit by bit (or should one say, butt by butt *hehe*, bad pun, sorry about that). Hope you enjoy this little design and let me know what you think.
The most incredible adventures, the wildest dreams, the most daring challenges that require both bravery and heart, the most human of all the aliens. All of this is Doctor Who. And the Tardis! Did you know it is bigger on the inside? I know this is the oldest jokes ever. But the Tardis still rocks :-). The whole Universe for the Tardis!
The great outdoors, this is how one imagines it: the full, bright moon, the clear dark blue skies, the myriads of stars, the crackling of the fire and a tent, where you feel both safe and adventurous… Every kid’s dream. And, if the kid in you is still there, maybe yours too? I made this encouragement piece to remind myself of the kid in me, of the dreams of the adventurous I used to do my best to live them. Maybe you feel the same way?
Round round, baby, round round :-D. Simple shapes, anyone? Light patterns, beautiful circles. Simplicity at its finest :-). You guessed it right, Rouages does abstract art! And, it has the trendy color shades of the year! Who cannot not give into the seduction ;-). Pattern beauty at its finest.
